Legacy Projects

Strategic Pillars of the European Social Label

The Legacy Projects represent the European Social Label’s highest level of ambition: initiatives designed to deliver profound, lasting societal transformation while demonstrating that Charity as a Business is not an abstract idea but a measurable, scalable economic model.

Each Legacy Project — whether building new cooperative communities, strengthening Europe’s welfare systems from within, or mobilising capital on a continental scale — is anchored in one principle: real impact with tangible results. Together, they show how our member-driven approach empowers small and medium-sized enterprises to shape large-scale change without losing sight of everyday realities.

Through Europe Our Society (EUOS), Europe, Our Europe (EUOE) and the Pan-Continental Power Play (PCPP), our Legacy Projects prove that inclusive societies, sustainable economies and profitable enterprises can and must grow hand in hand. Every member, partner and community involved contributes directly to a shared legacy — one that will endure far beyond today’s challenges and lay the foundations for a more equitable, climate-resilient world.

Explore our Legacy Projects and join us in turning ambitious ideas into practical, lasting change.

Europe Our Society (EUOS)

A Legacy Project under the European Social Label

Europe Our Society (EUOS) represents a cornerstone within the European Social Label’s long-term mission to shape inclusive, climate-positive communities across Europe — driven by our Charity as a Business principle and underpinned by strong, transparent private-sector engagement.

A Tangible Model for Sustainable Communities
EUOS is not a theoretical framework but a real, scalable property initiative comprising 27 sites to be developed throughout the European Union. Phase one has commenced in Sweden, where five strategically selected properties — Wenngarn, Kaggeholm, Elsabo, Sätra Brunn and Mauritzberg — will be transformed into self-sustaining, circular-economy villages. Each site will integrate high-standard housing, government-funded education, co-working facilities, health and wellness services, and vibrant community spaces.

Securing Long-Term Viability through Education and Enterprise
Financial sustainability is safeguarded through stable, government-backed revenue streams: every EUOS site will host a Folkhögskola — an adult education institution supported by Swedish state funding — generating a projected USD 3.3 million per year per site. This ensures predictable income to service capital investment and maintain operations. In addition, the sites will leverage revenue from hospitality, vocational training and sustainable local enterprise, proving that social equity and economic resilience are mutually reinforcing.

Circular and Climate-Positive by Design
At the core of EUOS is the ECHO Platform: an advanced technological solution for renewable energy generation and storage, net-zero water management, and comprehensive waste recycling — all governed by the FlexSus system developed with Linköping University and Denmark Technical University. This enables every EUOS property to operate climate-positively, contributing surplus clean energy and circular resource flows to surrounding communities.

Scalable Blueprint for Europe and Beyond
The Swedish phase serves as proof-of-concept for broader replication. EUOS will expand stepwise across all EU member states, establishing at least three multi-purpose, circular-economy properties per country. Beyond Europe, EUOS underpins our Social Development and Empowering Programme (SDEP) in Africa — demonstrating how climate-positive villages can be adapted to local contexts and scaled globally.

A Living Demonstration of Charity as a Business
EUOS exemplifies our fundamental conviction that Charity as a Business is not a slogan but a measurable economic model: private capital can drive social inclusion, education, and environmental responsibility without sacrificing profitability. Through EUOS, our members and partners can invest in physical assets that generate secure returns while directly advancing social equity and climate goals.

Europe, Our Europe (EUOE)

A Legacy Project under the European Social Label

Europe, Our Europe (EUOE) is a defining Legacy Project within the European Social Label — created to strengthen Europe’s social and economic fabric from within, by renewing how employers, workers, and policymakers cooperate for shared, sustainable prosperity.

Where Europe Our Society (EUOS) builds tangible cooperative communities alongside the mainstream, EUOE works inside Europe’s existing socio-economic system, modernising it with cooperative principles, pragmatic governance and the transformative logic of Charity as a Business.

Reinforcing the Welfare State — Evolving How It Works
EUOE does not replace Europe’s welfare model; instead, it adds a complementary pillar that reduces over-reliance on tax-funded systems by activating the private sector as a direct contributor to social equity and economic resilience. Through cooperative structures, EUOE demonstrates that profit, fairness and social responsibility can — and must — coexist.

Cooperative Employers Union (CEU)
The Cooperative Employers Union (CEU) forms EUOE’s backbone for businesses. It offers EUSL’s members:

  • A barrierless network for employers to collaborate across EU borders.

  • Shared legal and advisory frameworks that support fair and transparent labour conditions.

  • Integrated Charity as a Business models that anchor community benefit within everyday enterprise.

  • A practical platform for companies to expand responsibly while strengthening regional economies.

Policy for a New Europe
EUOE’s third dimension is political. A pragmatic, centrist policy movement under development will give Charity as a Business and cooperative economics a clear place in Europe’s legislative and governance landscape — bridging ideological divides and placing social equity above party lines.

An Internal Force for Good
Unlike parallel initiatives, EUOE does not confront the system — it engages with it. It equips Europe’s businesses, workers and communities to adapt existing frameworks from the inside, ensuring that our continent remains competitive, equitable and future-proof.

Part of the EUSL Legacy
Through EUOE, we reinforce our conviction that sustainable growth must be built collaboratively — where employers, employees and policymakers share responsibility and reward in equal measure. In doing so, EUOE safeguards Europe’s welfare ideals while securing the competitiveness needed in a changing world.

Pan-Continental Power Play (PCPP)

A Legacy Project under the European Social Label

The Pan-Continental Power Play (PCPP) is the European Social Label’s most ambitious Legacy Project — our flagship mechanism for mobilising transformative, cross-border investments that generate both measurable profit and measurable social good under the Charity as a Business principle.

A Continental Engine for Scalable Impact
The Pan-Continental Power Play is not a single project but an umbrella framework that clusters major ventures across Europe, Africa and other partnering regions under a unified financial and operational strategy. By combining public and private capital flows with robust compliance structures and traceable returns, PCPP demonstrates that large-scale economic development can directly fuel inclusive growth and climate resilience.

Securing Scale — Beyond Borders
Where EUOS and EUOE each target the European social fabric through community-building and systemic reform, PCPP acts as the high-level bridge — unlocking billions in structured capital for projects that align with our Charity as a Business model.

  • In Africa, PCPP underpins the ACTESA Power Play and the Social Development and Empowering Programme (SDEP), demonstrating how climate-positive infrastructure, food security and social innovation can attract international finance on fair, accountable terms.

  • In Europe, PCPP supports cross-border expansions of our sustainability platforms — from circular energy networks to cooperative industrial zones — creating tangible, investable assets that deliver consistent returns while fulfilling Europe’s climate and equity goals.

De-Risking with Transparency
At the heart of PCPP is our integration of advanced governance and digital oversight tools. Systems like FlexSus and the Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs) ensure that every dollar, euro or local currency invested through the PCPP structure remains traceable, verifiable and linked to measurable social or environmental KPIs.

This commitment to transparency de-risks private capital, builds lender confidence, and creates a replicable standard for how large-scale funds can be channelled into communities without leakage or misuse.

Charity as a Business — Proven at Scale
What sets PCPP apart is that it does not treat profit and social benefit as trade-offs. Instead, it secures market-level returns — in some cases below conventional benchmarks to remain accessible — while embedding contractual obligations for impact delivery. In doing so, PCPP proves that Charity as a Business is not only viable at local community level but fully bankable at billion-dollar scale.

A Legacy in Motion
With anchor commitments — including signed letters of intent surpassing USD 300 billion under the ACTESA cluster — the Pan-Continental Power Play is already positioning Europe and its partners as co-architects of a new, equitable global economy. It ties together our vision for resilient food systems, sustainable urbanisation, renewable energy corridors and knowledge transfer between continents.

Invitation to Stakeholders
Governments, institutional investors, SMEs and local communities are invited to engage with the Pan-Continental Power Play — to participate in a structure that unites financial return with social equity and climate responsibility, delivering tangible benefits for today and legacy value for generations to come.
